What is Beacon, NY? Between the river and the mountain, Beacon is Mother Nature’s beauty in abundance. But even more importantly, Beacon is the people.
It’s the bartender at the distillery who knows how to mix my favorite drink. It’s the writers at Lit Lit who encourage and applaud each other every month. It’s the young lady at the bookstore who somehow finds five used copies of a book so our little Salon can read and dissect it. It’s the waitress at the diner who remembers my favorite order is the stuffed potato skins. It’s the guy at Solstad House who greets me with a big smile and directs me to the cookies I keep on hand. It’s the musicians, the artists, the poets. It’s the people on the street. It’s the family I live with, the friends I spend time with.
It’s the people – the beautiful people of Beacon.
