Stories of the city by the people who love it

The Beacon Beacon and the Beacon Historical Society have teamed up to launch Beacon Love Bites: a new, upbeat series of short, true stories inspired by the moments that make this city special to so many of us.
We’re asking friends, neighbors, community members, and even visitors to share the experiences that, to them, capture the essence of Beacon, NY.
From the kindness of a stranger to a perfectly timed recommendation, a chance encounter, or a neighbor showing up exactly when needed, these are the stories that remind us why community matters.
Tell Us Your Beacon Love Bite
Are you from Beacon? Or did you fall in love with it on a visit? We want to hear your Beacon Love Bite.
Think of it as a virtual storytelling campfire—a place to share the small moments that stay with you long after they occurred. Maybe it was a conversation on Main Street, an unexpected act of generosity, a serendipitous detour, or a fleeting moment that changed your day.
Submissions should be short (150 words max), heartfelt, and true. We can’t promise every story will be published, but we’ll share as many as we can.
Because sometimes the smallest stories say the most.
