Join the Howland Public Library for this great historical documentary which takes a closer look at local history. Did you know that in 1949, Peekskill was the site of violent riots sparked by protests against a concert by singer, Paul Robeson. The Peekskill Riots became a flashpoint for civil rights, free speech, and Cold War tensions, drawing in artists like Pete Seeger and Woodie Guthrie. A discussion will follow the screening.
