Beacon, NY’s newest art gallery, Elijah Wheat Showroom, opens its inaugural exhibition by E.E. Kono, entitled DISPERSION.
This solo exhibition will run until Sunday, July 19th, 2026.
The title, “Dispersion,” references both the artist’s chosen medium, in which pigment particles are suspended in egg yolk, as well as themes of generational displacement. The paintings highlight ideas of settlement and questions of belonging. Kono’s family lineage is tied to westward expansion and her imagery explores its enduring, often obscured, influence on contemporary national and personal identity.
